My Story

I was born in Poland, where I lived the first 24 years of my life. I escaped the communism oppression by focusing on sports, which became my freedom. At age 14, I was introduced by a friend to competitive Olympic style weightlifting, which very quickly became my passion.

At 18, I was mandatorily drafted and was fortunate to be drafted to the army’s sports club to continue to train with the goal of the Olympics. My team won the Polish National Championship. 

Shortly after, while performing a dead lift I severly injured my lower back, had torn muscles, ligaments and had 3 herniated discs.  Needless to say that was the end of my professional weight lifting career. I was ironically then instructed to assist the team’s massage and physical therapists, where my interest in body work began. After completing my two years of mandatory service and settling for a job I didn’t love while still in pain I was presented with the opportunity to move to the United States.

I worked my way through different jobs in Rhode Island and eventually Boston while I settled in this new country full of opportunities, where I eventually decided to study massage therapy. At age 30 I opened my first business in Norwood, Massachusetts.

I was still constantly in pain couldn’t get up from my bed, a chair, the car…I began questioning how could I possibly help my clients if I couldn’t help myself.

In 2010, I went to my first myofascial release seminar in Sedona Arizona where I met John F. Barnes, the founder of myofascial release, and my life forever changed.  After one weekend in Sedona, my pain was almost gone and I was able to hike beautiful Red Rocks with only some discomfort. I decided to take more seminars and after 2 years I became an Expert Myofascial Release Therapist. 

In November 2020, my wife of six years and I decided to move to Naples, FL for some warm weather and a better quality of life.
